Ashley!

Ashley is big sister extraordinaire around here! She helps me (Susan) so much and with just about anything! She's done more parenting than I care to admit, and she does it all with a cherry smile and lots of grace! I couldn't do what I do without her! She brings lots of energy to her interactions with all the kids and that is such a blessing for me to see! I was an energetic mom with Ashley, but I'm more tired this time around! This picture was taken the past summer in front of Casa Bonita in Denver.

James!

Not only do we have cute little people running around here, but we also have very helpful big kids helping us keep the family going! James loves to play with all the kids and helps us tons!

Birds Don't Talk

We were eating lunch at Chick Fil A the other day and Isabel and Sarah were pretending they were baby birds. They were saying, "Tweet, tweet." They told me that I was the Momma bird and they told the manager, who was sitting with us, that he was the daddy bird. Then they told him that he had to be quiet because , "Birds don't talk!"

The Pleasures of Homeschooling!

The other day we were doing a lesson on the Exodus- Moses leading the Isrealites out of Egypt. I asked Marc who led the Exodus and he said, "That guy... rhymes with OSES and starts with M... MOSES!" Gee, I never thought of referring to Moses as "That Guy!"

Isabel's boobies

So there we are, about to sit down for a lovely Turkey dinner at Thanksgiving. We had William Haller, a 21-year old Airmen from base over to visit. He's a life-support apprentice at the squadron. We invited him over so that he didn't have to celebrate in the dorms alone.

Anyway, as we are about to eat, Isabel declares: "I have little boobies!" She is so articulate and speaks so clearly. Needless to say, William's face was about the color of the cranberries as we laughed out loud for quite some time. This place is crazy! And we love it!
