Nate

What a handsome guy, and he takes care of kids too! Nate was very supportive of my get away trip to Virginia! He took great care of the kids and the house was clean when I got home. I really thought I'd come home to quite a mess. James confided that they didn't clean until 15 minutes before they came to get me, but I told James that apparently, 15 minutes was enough. I had a wonderful and refreshing time in Virginia. God blessed my time there greatly. I came home with a vision for my life and a renewed focus. My primary mission right now is schooling my children. I have let go of many commitments so I can focus at home. It makes our days so much more pleasant when I'm not trying to get school done so I can do something else. I'm enjoying more down time with the kids and they are thrilled to have my full attention so much more often! God is so good!

Rachel Ann

Rachel, on the other hand, is known for running from pictures. It all depends on her mood!

Sarah Beth

Sarah loves to pose for pictures!

Isabel Marie

Here is Isabel looking so sweet! She really is as sweet as she looks!

Our Sweet Geneveve

Geneveve's health has not been good lately. The vets cannot figure out what is wrong with her. She has wounds on the inside of her back legs that won't heal completely. She had so many tests run last November and December and they still coudn't figure out what was going on. We decided to take her off all her medications because they made her feel yucky and the vets weren't sure they were the right ones. We are going for quality of life and not quantity. She is happy, perky and very loving. We enjoy her every day and are thankful for every day she is with us!

Timber!

We had a tree blow down between our driveway and our neighbor's driveway. It happened the afternoon I was flying back from Virginia. I got away for 5 days and Nate took leave to care for the children. My plane was diverted from Little Rock to Memphis. I did end up getting home that night on a later flight. Nate bought a chain saw on the way to the airport. He was waiting in the airport when our flight was diverted. The Brittish man sitting next to me on the flight summed up the situation very well. "You mean to tell me that your husband has been
alone with six children for five days now, he has had them all inside the airport waiting for you and just found out the flight was diverted AND he has a chain saw in the back of his car!" How is that for summing up the situation! The kids had so much fun "climbing" the tree while it was on the ground. Rachel is pictured taking a break to pose for a picture.

Triple Valentine!

Our girlies were so excited about Valentine's Day this year! They enjoyed giving and receiving Valentine's. Can you tell who is whom in this picture?

James-ism

We were leaving Chick Fil A the other day and James said, "I don't know how Chick Fil A makes any money with all they give a way. I mean all the free drink refills and all the condoms." I about spit my ice tea when I realized that he meant to say condiments. It took me a little while to verbalize to him what I thought he meant. He was so embarassed when he realized what he had said. These kids keep me laughing.

Marc the overstressed first grader!

The other night I asked Marc if he would give Geneveve food and water. He looked at me like he was completely overwhelmed and said, "My life is soo busy right now!" I laughed so hard. God knows when I need a laugh!
