Rachel sums up life in our house!

When we were decorating the Christmas tree, the kids were all so excited. They would hang ornaments as quickly as they could and come back for another one. It the middle of this schuffle, Rachel spoke up and said, "We're just elves, we're just elves, we're just CRAZY elves!"

Isabel and the Christmas Party

We were at the Squadron Children's Christmas party sitting around talking. I was sitting next to a woman named Kat who is a navigator in the squadron. Isabel walked up to us with a very cute smile on her face. She looked at Kat and said, "My daddy has a penis!" Kat did not miss a beat in saying, "Yes, but I have boobies!" Isabel was so tickled by her responce!

What Tricare did for us!

I was really curious just how much James' emergency was going to cost. Nothing to us because Tricare Prime pays 100% of emergency services. Here's the rundown.

Ambulance ride to Heber Springs Hospital: $660
Emergency room visit at Baptist Hospital- Heber Springs: $4,899.20
(This included a $2,100 CT scan, $1,000 to the lab and $700 in X-rays)
Helicopter Med-flight: $8,438.50
Children's Hospital Emergency Room: $1406.06

For a grand total of: $15,403.76 which is, of course, priceless to us!

Praise God for great insurance coverage!

-Update-

This is James, blogging once again. I'm doing fine and by the grace of God, my wound has been reduced to a small knot. Today we sledded on the first ice of the season. We all had loads of fun and drank hot cocoa afterwards. I'm loving that it's finally colling off. I made a barometer yesterday and will be recording the air pressure for the next week or so. Riley is doing wonderfully and is now obeying basic commands. Altogether, life is going great
