Back to Genevieve (James)
I've been meaning to post, but Genevieve died...in May. They put her down at 4:00 PM. It was very peaceful. That Saturday, we buried her in the backyard of some of good friends next to their Dog, Max, who had died in October. We gave our respects, and left the site.

Marc and the SAT 10

Arkasas requires that homeschooled students take the same standardized tests that brick and mortar students take. Marc, who has done 2nd grade work this year in math and language arts, was required to take the 1st grade SAT 10. When I went to pick him up after his testing, the proctor approached me and asked if I was his mother. I said I was, and she proceeded to tell me that Marc is really smart (we knew that).
As she was giving the instructions for the test, she noticed that Marc was writing on his answer sheet. After she begain the test, she went to check on Marc to see what he was doing--maybe doodling or marking random answers. Get this: She said that he had his entire test done and answers bubbled in before she was done reading the directions for the test. She said she checked his test and he hadn't missed a questio!
I wish I would have thought to ask her what he did the rest of the time while others took the test.

Peas in a Pod!
"boobies" 2 (James)
Poor Genevieve- by james
In the fall and winter of last year, Genevieve was suffering from many different things, but she got over it and was back to normal for several months. Then, near the end of April, she develoved problems again. She didn't seem to be breathing right. It persisted and got worse, so we had her x-rayed in the chest. The doctor concluded that she had numerous life-threatening tumors and one lung was appeared to be collapsed, and the other was filling with fluid. Her heart was immensly oversized, too. It should take up about three rib spaces on a dog like her, but it took up five and a half. Currently, she isn't breathing well at all. It is a countdown of her days. When the time comes, we'll bury her with some friends of ours, who had their dog, Max, pass away last year. Ilooked up some bible verses for my mom, and figured there was no harm in posting them here. (NLT- New Living Translation)
Genisis 15:15
As for you, you will die in peace and be burried at a ripe old age (Genevieve is almost nine)
2 Samuel 14:14
All of us must I eventually . Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But god does not just sweep life away;instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we had been separated from him.
Joshua 23:14
I will soon die , going the way of everything on earth . Deep in your hearts you know that every promise the of the Lord your God has come true. Not a single one has failed!
Ecclesiastes 4:2
And so I concluded that the dead are better off than living.
Revelation 14:13
And I heard a voice from heaven say, "write this down: Blessed are those who died in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds followed them.
Rvelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.
