In the fall and winter of last year, Genevieve was suffering from many different things, but she got over it and was back to normal for several months. Then, near the end of April, she develoved problems again. She didn't seem to be breathing right. It persisted and got worse, so we had her x-rayed in the chest. The doctor concluded that she had numerous life-threatening tumors and one lung was appeared to be collapsed, and the other was filling with fluid. Her heart was immensly oversized, too. It should take up about three rib spaces on a dog like her, but it took up five and a half. Currently, she isn't breathing well at all. It is a countdown of her days. When the time comes, we'll bury her with some friends of ours, who had their dog, Max, pass away last year. Ilooked up some bible verses for my mom, and figured there was no harm in posting them here. (NLT- New Living Translation)
Genisis 15:15
As for you, you will die in peace and be burried at a ripe old age (Genevieve is almost nine)
2 Samuel 14:14
All of us must I eventually . Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But god does not just sweep life away;instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we had been separated from him.
Joshua 23:14
I will soon die , going the way of everything on earth . Deep in your hearts you know that every promise the of the Lord your God has come true. Not a single one has failed!
Ecclesiastes 4:2
And so I concluded that the dead are better off than living.
Revelation 14:13
And I heard a voice from heaven say, "write this down: Blessed are those who died in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds followed them.
Rvelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.
